No. 5 Northwestern hosts No. 12 Terryville in Class S boys second round game tonight
The No. 5 Northwestern and No. 12 Terryville boys basketball teams have met three times season prior to tonight’s Class S second round game at 7 at Northwestern Regional High School in Winsted.
The Highlanders won all three matchups. Here is a little bit about each game.
TUESDAY, DEC. 20 (At Terryville): NORTHWESTERN 73, TERRYVILLE 70
The Highlanders trailed by 10 in the second half, but rallied and held off the Kangaroos.
John Stevens had a major night with 28 points to lead Northwestern. Jacob Johnson led Terryville with 22 points.

TUESDAY, JAN. 31 (At Winsted): NORTHWESTERN 72, TERRYVILLE 60
The Kangaroos hung tough for much of the game, but the Highlanders were able to put the game away.
Guiheen had 19 points and four steals to lead Northwestern. Jacob Johnson led Terryville with 16 points.

MONDAY, FEB. 27 (BL Tournament Semifinal, At Thomaston High School): NORTHWESTERN 65, TERRYVILLE 58
The Kangaroos again hung tough against the Highlanders, but an eye injury forced sharpshooter Jacob Johnson out of the game in the third quarter. He did not return, and Northwestern held on for its third win over Terryville.
