Nonnewaug boys rally against Housatonic, stay undefeated

KEVIN D. ROBERTS/Register Citizen
The Nonnewaug boys basketball is still undefeated, but the Chiefs had to fight their way through a tough game against a determined Housatonic team on Tuesday night at home. The Chiefs topped the Mountaineers 73-69.
Nonnewaug's Ben Timme led all scorers with 28 points. Dylan Martland also had a big night with 19 points, but the Chiefs got plenty of help from other players, such as Greg Porcelli (11 points) and Christian Metallo (6 points).
Housatonic was led by Donyell Williams (23 points) and Ray Mohring (20 points, 4 3-pointers). The Mountaineers made eight 3-pointers on the night, but the Chiefs made the big plays at the end to take the game.
