Torrington girls host Woodland tonight
The Torrington girls basketball team is looking for its sixth straight win tonight when it hosts Woodland Regional in a Naugatuck Valley League game at Torrington High School at 7.
The Lady Raiders have won their last five after losing a non-league game at home against Lauralton Hall on Jan. 19. Torrington enters the game with an overall record of 8-2 (8-1 NVL, 7-1 NVL Copper Division). The Raiders are coming off of a 60-45 home win over Naugatuck last Friday.
Woodland, which plays in the Copper Division, comes in with an overall record of 3-6 (3-5 NVL, 2-5 NVL Brass). The Hawks won their last game, 49-42 at home last Friday over Copper Division foe Crosby.
I will be sending out tweets from the Connie Donahue Gymnasium.
