Torrington girls race out to early lead, pound Woodland

The Torrington girls basketball team used good teamwork on offense and defense to hammer Woodland 63-39 in a Naugatuck Valley League game on Tuesday night at Torrington High School.
Aly Otis had 16 points to lead the way for the Lady Raiders (9-2 overall, 9-1 NVL), but she had plenty of help from other players. Caycee Williams added 14 points while Caroline Teti chipped in nine points and five assists.
Torrington had 17 steals and forced 29 turnovers overall.
